Yutori Bee | Creating a Community
Hi Bees,
Trying to find balance creating a brand/ community about balance and conscious living is no joke. The struggle is real but it sure is grounding and humbles you down. Its not as easy as it looks on social media with instant gratification and smooth transitions, but more to do with consistency, effort, intention with loads of struggle be it emotional, mental or physical. Between struggling to finish deadline as an Architect and Urban Designer to trying to live up to unrealistically high expectation be it professional or personally has what lead me to trying to find space, a sense of time and understanding.
While going through this struggle I came across “Yutori” and as a concept
it intrigued me. How does one find space and time in a busy life with so much noise pollution coming from ads to social media to television to other people’s
perspective and opinions? Is there a space physically, an environment
created or just the workings of the inner self? What are the perimeters of
understanding it? I talk a little bit more about yutori and how the idea “Yutori Bee” came to be in a letter that I wrote addressing to bees that came with the
YB’s first September 2026 snail mail.
It is an iterative and still a learning process. I am learning a lot while working on the vision and concept of the brand and our community from understanding the time and patience it takes to design a website, learn what’s a SEO, to n+1 variations of logo and colours and decisions making skill, creating deadlines and to do list, to taking courage in self and others/community and especially how to express one self and thought process to others through Art, Architecture and Urban Design. Fair warning though the domain connecting take 2 to 3 days and so does the process of verification for any payment gateway, it annoyed the hell out of me when I couldn’t complete my task on deadline. P.s me moving to a new house in the middle of the entire process didn’t help either.
But looking back and seeing the consistency and dedication with slow process and progress every day did give a sense of proud and calm, a better understanding on how things are in real life and how I can improve and grow further. Hopeful as I learn and share my journey with you bees, we can share and connect with each other, grow and create and build together
Grateful for my family and friends for being with me throughout
this journey and also the Packer and movers for helping me move
because there were just lots of books and stationery.
(They literally were shocked :D)
